   I’ve been meaning to ask but I keep forgetting…is it just me or does SOA’s volume sound really low compared to earlier releases? I have my computer’s volume + my player’s volume set to max and it sounds like it’s only roughly halfway

      I had the same problem as crossingfield in episode 6 of SAO. Hopefully the staff can look into better ways to improve the sound quality. It would really serve to make the wait for the next episode seem worthwhile.

            Also, if you’re using FFDShow for decoding audio, you can amplify the sound by…

            Having the episode loaded in MPC:HC and Go to Play -> Filters on the top bar.
            Click “FFDShow Audio Decoder”

            Look in the side-bar on the left for “Volume” and check it.
            You can use the “Master Volume” slider to amplify the audio.

            Remember, when you change settings in ffdshow, they do not reset when you close the player.

               Unfortunately, that suggestion did not really make any difference. Still feels equally as quiet.

               What’s weird is that SAO is the only release in which this is any issues (I watch almost every show currently airing in Japan).

               Try using decibels scale, its under volume as well. It gets pretty loud on my side.

               I don’t amplify the audio like most groups do. I find that its actually at the perfect volume on my side. Though I’ve never gotten a complaint about the audio till now, I’ll amplify it for 7&8.

               I haven’t had a problem with the audio level until about episode 5 or 6…I went through the first 5 minutes of every episode and the audio seems to be weaker on those two episodes compared to the rest

      Looks like it’ll be another ONA, but naturally we’ll be working on it.

      I’ll be on vacation August 31st, followed by college move-in, so don’t expect the first episode early.
