There are a lot of little specials included with AKB’s Blu-Ray volume 1, and we’re going to sub them all (except for the episode’s audio commentary track. Screw that. Maybe I’ll get the staff on Skype and we’ll record a fansubber’s commentary track).

Are you going to do it with as many people commentating at once (which will probably only last for 1 ep), or are you going to assign 2-3 staffers to each episode?
It was mostly a joke, but if we do it, it’ll probably be limited to people actually working on the show. And in that case whoever’s available I guess. Maybe we’ll do some kind of assigning thing.

So, are you guys doing the BD director’s cut ep or not? Not major additions there, just a couple of nice scenes that I do now miss from tv broadcast version so for sake of collection it would be nice to have that file subbed :)
the episode commentary wasn’t particularly revealing… though I did snicker/grimace at Okada’s couple of out of left field pevert mode bursts which left Kawamori and the other guy with [...] as reactions.

That’s very sad to hear, even if it’s understandable that you don’t want to put up with the amount of work it would take. Still, great news.
Well, we recorded the fansubber commentary track over Skype tonight.

I was wondering, what are the chances we could get a DL for the sub files for each BD volume?
For people like me who have the BD (ordered at least, hasn’t arrived yet due to ordering it with the OP/ED single) and plan to watch it on a computer with a BD player. I believe it’s possible as I have done so at one point or another (not with BDs though, I don’t usually collect BDs).
I just figured it’d be great that way because I’d get the subs and could still watch the official releases that I’ve bought.
I’d even pay a small price for them if that inspires you at all (like a little premium of $1-2 to get the files sent to people who pay) because that way I could watch it and some if not most of the extras (aside from the commentary of course as you stated it won’t get a sub)

I’ll create a subfolder in the scripts archive for all the BD extra scripts, once they’re done. We don’t accept payment for subs; donations only go to server costs.

(Incidentally, volume 1 release is only waiting on typesets for two of the extras. Bother dae about them; everything else is done)
