Now that I have your attention, we’ve got a variety of news regarding various AKB things, including the BDs, batches, and some other things.

The video above is a short snippet of an episode of AKBingo that I, out of boredom, decided to sub. Why? I found it funny. Maybe I’ll do more of these short videos in the future. Typesetting them is a slight pain, though.

Anyway, on to the real news. First off, BDs. dae and fara are working on the final typesets for the videos. After they finish, everything’s done, so in theory we should be set for a release on Saturday. However, we’ll also be waiting for Botan|US (one of the XDCC/seeding servers) to come back online before we release, for increased initial seeding (and because lyger doesn’t want to upload all 8 gigabytes AGAIN). Nobody wants to get horrible speeds on a BD release.

BD Vol. 2 is out today, so we’ll get to working on that sooner or later. To my knowledge, there aren’t as many special inclusions outside of the enhanced Episodes 2 + 3, so hopefully the turn-around time on that isn’t as bad as Vol. 1.

TV Batch. In addition to our BD releases, we should have a TV batch of AKB0048 out sometime next week. Less effort will be exerted into the batch compared to the BD releases, considering that the BDs have new content that require more attention. However, we will fix up typos, consistency errors, etc. for the TV batch, to provide a complete viewing experience.

Translator’s Notes. Similar to the Inu x Boku SS notes that lyger wrote up, lyger is planning on creating an AKB0048 translator’s notes/in-review post regarding the series. Regarding when it’ll be finished: “no ETA. It’ll take me a bit of time to put together. Whenever I have a few hours free to just sit and ramble.”

Also, one more thing:

We’ll be working on this alongside the AKB BDs. I’ve already scanned Vol. 1, and lyger has a paper copy to save his eyes. Might take us a while for each chapter, though, considering they’re around 50-60 pages long each.

All in all, there’s still a wide variety of AKB(00)48 content waiting to be served. Look forward!

      Just to add. AKB 1ji 59fun and AKB 0ji 59fun are subbed as well. Those episodes are prior to AKBINGO.

        The subs my friend got for those are… weirdly timed though. Some don’t take into consideration the presence of PVs or dances and stuff. And they have hilarious translator comments. Like Jurina, the ultimate loli.

            Any raws at all or just not the proper raws? If it’s the former, when school starts again I could seed them to you (my upload rate is limited at home). If it’s the latter, then you could retime the subs ^^

            Plus, I might have them in Hi10 by September.

            I know the proper raws uses re-encodes to 704 x 396. There are torrents from Hello-Online labeled AKBINGO SD. There are absolutely no seeders (on some) so it’s a bit hard to download them.

            Mmmm… I wonder where my friend got them from then. I think he got them in a batch, but he had to look hard. Well, as I wrote, I’ll have upload capabilities in September. And I guess AKB 0ji59fun & 1ji59fun are next on my Hi10ing list.

            In the meantime, do you know how to create a torrent? Unless you’re going to Otakuthon?

    Yahoooo!! I’ve been bugging my friend to scanlate my copy, but he never got around to it. Heck, he’s only halfway through chapter 1 of Episode 0 (not what’s around on the internet though). If you’d like to do Episode 0, I would gladly send you my raws.

    If you are going to put subtitle on AKB0048 Blu-Ray video, does that means that you are going the AKB0048 Blu-Ray ? If so, are you going to translate the AKB0048 Blu-Ray booklet ? If so, thank you very much.

      If you bought the BD set and can post booklet scans, I’d be happy to. We don’t have any scans at the moment, unfortunately.

        I’m still uploading (read my repeated statements about crappy upload above) and have no idea when it’ll get done, or if I even have enough space.
        - For the stuff I have already classified, the file name and metadata are in romanji; only the folders are half somewhat Japanese.
        – There are Acchan’s first solo single, Mayuyu’s solo singles, and a few other sub-units songs (including Watarirouka Hashiritai, Mayuyu’s other unit).
        – The unclassified folder is of stuff I haven’t gone over their metadata yet.
        – My Aitakatta is a lower quality, but it might be a different version. They’ve released their flag song many times.
        – My Kibou ni Tsuite and Yume wa Nandomo Umarekawaru are rips of YouTube radio rips.

          Thanks for share. Usually Dropbox offers 2GB for free. If you wanna more, you need to pay. That’s ’bout space.

          I usually never rip Youtube Videos, unless i have no choice. I also accept 192kb/s or 320kb/s quality only.

          Where in all these folders to find specially AKB0048 stuff… I just do not want to scan all AKB48 discography for a few songs.

          For sound improvement (and i mean really dramatically) i recommend DFX sound processor. Do not download the current version they offer (www.fxsound.com), it is buggy.

          Use instead the older version: http://www.fxsound.com/tmp/dfxflashfix/dfxu_10.137_1.exe.
          Due to bug in Adobe Flash Player 11.3 series i recommend downgrade to 11.2 before install DFX.

            Meh my speakers are sucky anyways. So the songs played in 0048 (might be missing a few):

            And I recommend Flying Get (22nd single フライングゲット), which the assault stage is named after, Everyday Katyuusha (21th single Everyday、カチューシャ), which their ship is named after, and Give Me Five! (25th single) because it’s just awesome.

            Other songs featured in other anime that I know of:
            Answer (no3b 6th single) was Beelzebub’s 1st ED, Kibou Sanmyaku (in the main folder) was an ED for Crayon Shin Chan, and so were various other Watarirouka Hashiritai songs.

            Yes. After purchase or registration you are able to minimize the progie to systray and completely use it.

            The link I have above has Anti in Everyday Katyusha, but not Ougon Center. Nagisa no Cherry might be released in one of the Stage albums? They’re harder to find though.

    Are you going to sub / do whatever with the Type-A/B AKB0048 OP/ED single Limited Edition DVD extra?

    I was thinking of getting it (type B — I like the anime cover), but Region 2 is a pain, though I have extra DVD drives lying around + I don’t know japanese anyway.. & Digital formats > Optical anyway.

    RE is just 10 dollars + shipping, and I like the songs enough that I would import the CD, at the very least. LE is only 10 dollars more I guess, and if you probably need a DVD iso, I could do that =P

      I actually ordered the type B myself (LE) but it’s not going to arrive for quite a while (shipping with another CD). An iso will probably pop up on Share not long after the release date, but if not, help would definitely be appreciated.

        They’re likely to appear on Vid48, or YueYinTai. Hello-Online is also bound to have them, though you better have a good ratio if you don’t want to wait a while.

      I guess as an update — It will be in the mail tomorrow. It’s in the sorting center the next town over as of this morning.

      I can easily provide scans and DVD iso image if needed, still.
