      Similar to an OVA.

         Why call it something else depending on the media? Whether it is VHS, DVD or BD shouldn’t affect the categorization imo. The media will continue to change in the future, to change the name every 10 years seems pretty pointless to me.

         And indeed, the quality is poor even for DVD…

         But I thought Hiryuu doesn’t encode avis. Unless I’m wrong about that.

            Hiryuu have been doing the avis for this series, and I just checked, they should be doing one for the OAD as well.

               Hmm… Ok. I thought they don’t encode because they don’t put up avi downloads on their site & they’re done by Evetaku. Plus, all their previous projects they don’t do avis too.

      The Blu Ray releases contains two episodes at a time, from reading on other sites I see no sign of this OAD being released with any of those. I doubt it would be included in an series box set.

   Side note for Sankarea; while seeding torrent for ep.02, have been getting “scrape error, file not found” message recently. It may be just a problem on my end, but thought you should know.

      Scrape errors only mean that the tracker won’t show you how many seeds and peers there are in the swarm.

      If you’re having issues downloading the episode from a torrent, try either one of the many file-transfer site (I personally like animegoon) or by a bot on their IRC.

      The scrape error I believe is generated from their servers, but if you wish to proceed with a torrent try updating your bit torrent and making sure the tracker URL is correct.
