Inu x Boku SS Episode 10 Released!

Again, well said.

What’s this? It’s not even 1 AM!

Major props to the fara/dae typesetting dynamic duo. I woke up this morning (okay, afternoon) to find all the typesets finished. Yes, all of them.

Oh, forgot to mention. The ending theme still uses the vector boxes. If you’re using xy-vsfilter it’s probably still broken.

Ahh… It’s like you guys read my mind.
Thanks for the work guys… And something tells me that we are going to need a v2 of this one soon.

I wouldn’t release, especially not ahead of schedule, unless I was confident the episode was up to par. I didn’t realize escro wasn’t done, but Jeffrey-sama and I both ran QC passes and nitpicked the script to death. If there were many obvious mistakes, we would not have released early.

I didn’t notice anything while watching the episode.

Granted, I wasn’t paying that much attention to the subs, but I should have noticed any major errors (and weird things like double spaces where there should be one…)

          2. escro

what i meant by “i hadn’t finished QCing” was that i personally hadnt finished reviewing the script myself.
most of the time i dont make many corrections, and if i did for this ep, it’ll be in the final cut.

anyways, i didn’t “finish” but i got through most of it. =)

You might just add \blur0.1 to the same override block (e.g. {\blur0.1\p1}blablabla{\blur0\p0}), this will fix xy-vsfilter issue. Not like it matters, though.

    1. lygerzero0zero

Sure, I’ll keep that in mind, thanks.

What exactly is causing the issue, so I know for future reference?

      1. tp7

Its parser is broken a little, there’s nothing you can do to prevent such things in the future if you don’t know about them beforehand. Other than having a QC guy using xy-vsfilter, obviously. :>

        1. lygerzero0zero

All right then, I’ll bother dae to check typesets in his player. I’m pretty sure he uses xy.

correction: the link for the xvid torrent leads to an ‘the torrent does not exist in our database’ it is on the main page, however. So, kind of a broken link.

I found a problem in the ED. The parts where it is supposed to be showing a box to refer to a censored word in the translation, instead just show the code that would be used to make that box.

ugh, deposit files is doing its throttling shit again… seems it does this often during the weekends… downloading at 30ish kb/s. and turbobit doesn’t let US people download from its site. DDLs, Y U SO COMPLICATED?!

    1. Jeffrey-sama

You could always use XDCC. (:
But regarding DDLs, I’m looking into other file hosts for the future.
The problem right now is there are a lot of factors that I need to consider first. (i.e. speeds for free downloaders, storage space, country restrictions, reliability, etc.)
Until then, please bear with the crappy speeds. Thanks~

actually, i now have two more questions about this,
1- what irc client (free) do you recommend and
2- considering turbobit is banned in the US, i’ve been wondering what country you’re in to be able to use turbobit…

        anyway, thanks

        1. Jeffrey-sama

          1) I use mIRC. Every time the trial expires, I just uninstall, delete the registry entry, and reinstall. Even if it is a bit of a pain to do, at least I don’t have to pay.
          2) I live in Canada. (:

          1. Kitty

ahh, i see. cool. i’m lazy so i probably wont use mIRC but i did install a irc client already and downloaded this on xdcc so thanks anyway. now if there was a irc client that could recognize japanese… -.-

          2. Jeffrey-sama

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think the inability to view Japanese characters has to do with the IRC client.
For example, on my desktop, I am able to view Japanese fine. But on my laptop, it shows up as squares. Both were running mIRC v7.22 at the time of the test cases.

          3. Kitty

oh i’m sure it doesn’t necessarily have to do with the OS, since all the windows vista, 7 and even mac OS all now have support for asian languages now, hell, i can view japanese just fine on my laptop, and it doesn’t give me the square thing.

          4. Kagecode

The Japanese not being recognised might actually be due to what font you have your client set to – some fonts simply can’t display some characters. As for mIRC, I dunno why so many people use it when there are equally good or better alternatives, with out the bitch of reinstalling or cracking it (or, you know, paying for it). Anyway, if you are having trouble with what ever client you have, do try either XChat-WDK (free/opensource) or mIRC, as both these should work perfectly well for just about every aspect of IRC.

  6. wat

I was ‘wat’ing at that typo at 8:44.

Seriously though, I really appreciate that you translate this from scratch, it’s rare these days. Thanks again! The occasional typo slipping through doesn’t ruin my day, I just couldn’t resist the opportunity to make that joke.

    1. Jeffrey-sama

      Wow… I can’t believe I let that slip through.
I think I need to do at least three edit passes for each episode now: one for grammar, one for dialogue flow, and now one for typos.
